Language

By default, our booking pages are in German – surprise, surprise!

Fortunately, you can switch the web site to English using the selector at the top right-hand corner of the screen:

Sorry that some parts are not yet translated – we will explain them on this page as needed and we're working on finishing the translation.

Please accept that the description for the normal German events is not available in English – the ones for the IBD+ will certainly be in English (only).

Visibility with no login

You might be surprised by Mensa Germany offering and showing most of its events without registration or login.

For most events you can simply register by sending the person in charge an email, using the email address stated in the event description (some require you to book the event online).

Please accept that in order to book the IBD+ 2025 and the associated events, you will need an account on our platform in order to log in and book (and possibly pay for) the events you wish to attend.

To log in click on the menu entry “Login” on the Booking system web site to open the login page:

Just enter your credentials and off you go... with a click on the Login button.

Usually, your username is your Mensa membership number prefixed by your country code, or in case of a guest account the email address used to register.

If you have problems logging in and resetting the password did not work, please get in touch with Cirsten at office@mensa.de.

Register – Create an Account

If you do not have an account on the online booking system of Mensa in Germany yet, you should create one now.

In order to register visit this page: Registration:

Just fill in your details and make sure you select the checkbox next to “Ich habe die Nutzungsbedingungen gelesen und akzeptiert.” in order to accept our terms of service and conditions (sorry, that part has not yet been translated) and click on register.

As for the gender you can choose between male (“männlich”), female (“weiblich”), diverse (“divers”), or enter what you think is appropriate in the free text field labelled “Freieingabe”.

Please note that by default your account will use your email address as username!

For members of Mensa Germany the account is the country code “049” followed by the membership number.

Optional: Account Upgrade if you're a Member of any Mensa

If you're member of Mensa in a foreign country and already have an account on our system, you may please fill in the form on this page to ask for an upgrade.

If in doubt you can get in touch with Cirsten at office@mensa.de.

Please note that in order to visit the IBD+ this account upgrade is not needed. The main impact is that we will indicate who is a member of Mensa on your badge with your name, and we will not be able to show you as a Mensa member without this account upgrade.

Delegation – Allow Someone Else to Book for You

Our booking system allows you to authorise another person to book events for you – all you have to do is to allow someone you trust to do so.

In order to grant this permission to someone, go to the menu entry “My Account > Personal Information > Relations” on the Booking system web site:

You will see this part of the page, which is currently only available in German, with the heading “Neue Beziehung aufbauen” meaning “Set up a new relationship”:

In the left-hand field “Benutzername” enter the username of the person that will be allowed to book events for you – as a matter of fact you grant this person to act on your behalf on our booking system.

In the second field “Art der Beziehung” you can select the type of relationship, and you want to pick “vertritt mich”, which means that this person shall act on your behalf.

Clicking on the button “Beziehung aufbauen” completes the process.

Please note: A person you grant this permission will act on your behalf when booking events – and you will be invoiced if the event is chargeable. Don't tell us you didn't know that!

Delegation – Book for Someone Else

If you have permission to book for another person when you are logged in on the Booking system web site, you can change the person you book for at the top right corner:

Attention: Please make sure to save a booking you have made before changing the person you book for. Our system assumes you know what you're doing.
